When you’re creating a kitchen for an architect, you can bet design and functionality will be a high priority. RiverCity Cabinets’ goal was not to sacrifice storage to design in this all-beech Art & Crafts kitchen. For example, the tiny corbels along the countertop all pullout and function as hidden drawers. The company spent a significant amount of time perfecting the island’s legs and drawers with a series of mock-ups. In addition to the cabinets and the island, RiverCity also manufactured the furr downs and beams. One major technical challenge was integrating the bar area and staircase into the complete millwork package.
